Last Week: Students in Ms. Heck's class have started the Data and Probability Unit and will be working on that until holidays. Students in Ms. Pond's class did a fun Amazing Race Integers review activity. Ms. Rudolph's classes completed integer word problems in groups and individually.
This Week: Students in Ms. Pond and Ms. Rudolph's class will continue reviewing integers and write the unit quiz on Wednesday, Dec. 6th. Ms. Rudolph's class will complete the Amazing Race Integer review on Tuesday. On Thursday, all classes will be on the Data and Probability. Some of the new vocabulary include: mean, mode, range and median.
Homework: Students can look at the Nov.27th blog entry for some extra practice sheets on integers.
Last Week: Classes wrapped up the Structures and Forces Unit. In Humanities, students watched Avatar in preparation for the cross curricular ecosystem project.
This Week: All classes will be starting Interactions and Ecosystems. We will start the unit with the "Best Beak" Adaptations lab and will start introducing vocabulary such as ecology, ecologist, adaptations and habitat.
Homework: Students are encouraged to bring in a canvas for the Portrait of an Ecosystem assignment. Please note: THIS IS OPTIONAL!
Science Fair: Tri folds have been handed out and some groups are beginning to start putting information on them. Please speak with your child about where they are in process.
Upcoming: No school on Friday, Dec.8th.
